The TLA Foundation for the Empowerment and Advancement of today's Youth and Young Adults
Think It! Write It! - Live It! was conceived in the spirit of creating a social entrepreneurial community that uses top-of-the-line technology and education-based products 1) to assist students in the development of strong writing skills, and 2) to provide a donation basis for non-profit organizations that allows them to expand their programs and spend less time fundraising.
To that end, TRE, Inc., the creator of The Learning Accelerator (TLA) platform, has generously donated thousands of its products to the TLA Foundation for the purpose of donating to non-profits. Surviving from donation to donation and from grant to grant are not very efficient ways to exist for any organization.Fundraising, in itself, does not serve the organization's constituents well because it takes time away from the main focus of the organization.
Many 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt organizations have realized they must create new programs with the express purpose of generating income to support their endeavors.Social entrepreneurship is becoming a staple of the operations of most successful and growing non-profits, and part of the TLA Foundation's mission is to spread this word to non-profits about being more self-reliant and self-sustaining. Home School Legal Defense Association (www.hslda.org) - is one of the leading voices for the home school community.From support of legislation to protect homeschooling rights, to being a clearinghouse of great ideas and advice, and as a place where excellent education is supported, the HSLDA provides valuable and necessary services.We are proud to say that a portion of our sales supports this indispensable resource for homeschoolers.
The Home School Foundation (www.homeschoolfoundation.org) - is on a mission to support homeschooling families regardless of their economic circumstances.Scholarships, academic aid for textbooks, grants, and tutoring assistance are staples of HSF's good works.Their scholarship funds are numerous and include funds, such as the Widow's Fund, Children of Single Parent Fund, Compassion Fund, and the Special Needs Children Fund.The TLA Foundation is honored to be able to support this organization. Valley Music Academy of Waynesboro, VA(www.valleymusicacademy.org) - Under the astute direction of Robert Harrold, Valley Music Academy has more than doubled in size in the last two years. Such growth means the need for more space and services for students and teachers, as their rosters are now completely full. Valley Music Academy has turned into a leading provider of affordable music lessons in Central Virginia, and The TLA Foundation looks forward to helping it grow even more.
